The RMI Alchemy (http://www.razamicroelectronics.com/
products_alchemy/index.htm) AU12xx series
RISC SoCs, originally released as the AMD
AU1200 series, are a family of high performance
low power multimedia SoCs with MIPS CPU core.
RMI announced AU1210 and AU1250 in June, 2007
as new additions to their family product line.
The AU1200 SoC provides a 300-500Mhz MIPS
core CPU with a MAE(Media Acceleration Engine)
for video and support for various peripherals,
such as an SD socket, LAN port, USB 2.0, IDE
interface, and LCD controller that defines
a new standard for low power single board
computer applications.
The built-in MAE of AU1200 supports various
types of video codecs, include MPEG 1, 2,
4, DivX, and WMV9 with up to DVD (full D1)
resolutions. The AU1200 also has a built-in
LCD controller that directly supports TTL
or one channel LVDS output for LCD panels
ranging from 3 to 19 inches.

supports Linux 2.6 kernel and Microsoft
Windows CE 5.0/6.0 Operating System
platforms. The high speed and low power
consumption RISC CPU core enables a

portable multimedia player, car multimedia
center, kiosk single board computer,
